Lowering a 993

This is a spinoff of the new shoes thread. Has anyone here ever lowered a 993 or does anyone know whats involved? All of the 993's I have seen have the same factory stance. My new wheels have not changed that. Some have suggested it would be a big improvement to lower it an inch to 3/4, I do not disagree. If it is not to expensive or difficult I may consider it. Your help would be appreciated!

As far as I know, new springs alone can lower the car. This may not be good for the shocks though, so they might need to be replaced aswell. Chech under suspensio at this site for info.

I guess we've all seen the spring kits advertised in Excellence, other mags...along with "Big Red" and other brake improvement kits. Brian, any really decent independent shops near you? That's where I'd suggest beginning your research. But, always keep in mind Jack's warning on that slippery slope...it's an easy area to enter, TOO easy sometimes...Now that I've given the disclaimer? Wouldn't she look just *****in' dropped down a bit and with big reds or ceramic brakes showing through those spokes? After all, it's "only" $$$$$$$$$. (censorship imposed by Wayne's program...the asterisks refer to a female dog.)

Paul, I do understand Jacks comments. However, I dont understand why so much concern over it. Do we need to disclose our porfolio before we talk about our spending spree's. My car, my money, my decision! I am only being honest here. Your a good guy and I appreciate your concern, however, I am having a blast! I hope I dont need to go to a rehab when I come to my senses!!! LOL!

Not only is this board more fun than listening to Dr. Laura, it's cheaper than visiting a shrink...probably does more good, too!
