Oh OK. I saw an 850 that looked a whole lot like yours at the shop I do business here in Ct. I guess the 6 speed manuals are fairly rare?
|
I've been all over this. Having the body converted will cost $10-$12k. The value of a factory M491 is $5k-$10k higher than its standard counterpart, and it has the 930 brakes and suspension.
Unless you have the skills to do the work yourself, the way to go is to find an M491. The real problem isn't the money, the problem is that people rarely sell their M491s. Edit: In Scandinavia, the market is completely different, as is the cost to do the work. |

Yes Ernest they are 17's Alton Fuchs. They're 3 piece forged, beautiful wheels Jeff designed.
|
I thought they were Zuffenhaus, but I have not seen that many on a narrow body. They look fantastic!!!
|
Thanks Ernest they are beautiful wheels. Sorry for the confusion. I suppose technically they are Zuff wheels. Jeff Alton spent over two years developing these wheels. Here are the threads. In fact it is 6 years to the day that he asked if there was any interest, very cool.

I still call them Alton Fuchs as I was in on the original purchase. |
Defiantly, a good purchase!!
I did realize that Anton started these wheels. Fantastic product. I am glad that Fikse has been able to help keep them alive. |

I think I will just buy a wide one

A lot goes into building one and sometimes adding the flares they are done wrong. To low or to high its a tricky thing. They need to be just right.
