Observation about 8x16 951 wheels on the front of my 3.2

I have 205/55R16 rubber mounted, and unless I am pushing the car VERY hard, the tires don't rub at all. Even when they do, the contact is momentary. I am guessing that a touch more negative camber and they will clear just fine.

The rubber is Kumho ASX, and the 8x16 wheels are of the ET23.3 flavor.

1) Kumho has no 205/55 x16 listed in their ASX line
2) For their other 205/55 x16 tires the widest wheel spec'd is 7.5"
3) The usual reason to mount an 8" front is to use 225/xx or wider tires, these wider tires are where the issues arise
4) 205/55 x16 on a 7ET23.3 will be very tight on a lowered car, suspension setup and ride height are 2 of the more significant variables, A shorter tire even if wider will be easier to fit.

1.) They did when I purchased them last summer
2.) Kumhos run wide (IME) and my tire installer agreed that if this wasn't for really hard running, he wouldn't have any problem mounting them up.
3.) Agreed. Running a 225 tire would be impossible without rolling the fenders on this car.
4.) I think the negative camber this car is running helps here. By eye, another tenth of a degree and they'll clear. I don't have a ton of space between the wheel and the fender, so my ride height is fairly low.
