What front flares go with SC rear flares?

Thinking of back dating an SC but don't like the narrow front fender openings and want to add fiberglass front pieces with front flares to match the rears. Anyone done anything like that? Got pics?

Anything from 69 on I think has the same flare as with carrera/sc flares.

Want more flare than that. What else is out there so I can put 8s on the front?

You can get 8 on the front with a little camber. And correct sized tires maybe no need for additional camber.

I use 7.5 inch with 215 tires and have at least .5 inch space. Probably more.

So back to the original question, I recall reading an article on a hot rodded long hood with some small flares added on the front. I'll try to remember where I saw it.

I remember seeing a one with modified stock flares. Guy used hammer and dolly to reshape and made it a larger(slightly) flare.

you could try welding rear 8 inch flare backwards on your front fenders. Someday, that's my plan to make a mini-Turbo flared car. I want the narrow arch (Turbo is too thick, ST is rounded and ugly IMHO) so my plan is to stage two 8 inch flares in the rear to create a 10 inch flare and 8 inch flares in the front. Only issue I have is I want the rounded arch in the front so I'd have to cut the square arch off and stitch a round fender arch on.

These are on Rdane's car. IIRC these were hammered out on SC fenders by Eurotech. Those are 951 8's in the picture.

We made some out of fiberglass with a small flare. About an inch over stock at the opening. I've got a coupe of pairs of them. But these are lightweight race fenders with no provision for headlights and no gas door so it wouldn't work for a street car.

to answer your question, there arent any front flares that match the rear SC flares unless you custom make them. the wider front flares go with the turbo or RSR rears

If all you want to do is use 8's in front just get wheels w/ ET from 25 to 31, the higher the ET the more room at the lips and the less inside at the shock and tub.

I like the look of this. Would work well with the stock SC flares on the rear.
