So if I call Pelican today for my SSI order, they will have them? Its a little unclear as to whether Pelican has some stock, or its just my adult A.D.D. getting in the way again.

Pelican does not keep them in stock. Dansk bought the existing inventory and tooling. Sounds like the existing inventory is already sold and Dansk is not yet up and running so there is quite a backlog. Anyone that places an order hoping to get pre-Dansk SSI's likely won't.

FYI I've completed the swap and can confirm the Monty isn't much louder than stock. Just a beautiful growl at low revs that you don't get with stock. I seem to have an issue from 5k to 6k where the power drops off and it sounds like it's either rapidly backfiring or pre igniting. Talking it back to my wrench to check it out. (I chickened out on doing it myself. Best $800 I've spent - no cuz words from me, plenty from him! But no broken studs)

Also FYI the ssi's I ended up getting were thin flange, no O2 bung. Bung welded in, and the exhaust studs shortened slightly to accommodate.

Indeed it is a dirty burble :) Like an outboard motor. Gets a few extra glances at the lights , and I enjoy finding resonant structures to drive through/past! Pity we don't have tunnels here.

You'll also have to cut a portion of the steel so that the clutch spring has enough clearance. Maybe this isn't always the case, but seems to be a very common and necessary step.
