remote trunk release
 

Has anyone successfully installed a remote front trunk release? I have a button on my remote lock/alarm and have often thought it would be convenient to have this added functionality. The solenoid/relay kit is cheap, but apparently installation is 'tricky'.

shouldn't be "tricky" .. 30/45 lb pull solenoid is all you need .. then either wire trigger to a switch or a remote ... I would leave the stock set up in place and hook off the end of the arm rather than replace ... use the stock one as an emergency pull ...

I suspect the tricky bit may be figuring out exactly where/how to mount the solenoid. Hoping for some pix from folks who have done it before.
