Pulse Senders, Can I Re-suse?

The car was running just fine before dropping the engine.
Do I need to replace these 2 pulse senders because the insulation is toast?
Can I re-insulate and re-use? I sure could use the $320 somewhere else.
Or is there a substitute?
BTW I am upgrading the CHT to the newer 2 wire model
Thanks!

Thanks for the quick answer.
Are the plugs the same as the "Porsche" part or do I need to modify anything? The picture in the parts catalog does not show well. A straight plug-n-play replacement at half the cost would be nice!

BTDT, it is a straight plug-n-play at half the price. Easy to install/adjust if the transmission is off.

The ones I used was 12-14-1-708-619.

If you check the product review all 3 are from Porsche owner. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=12-14-1-708-619-M14&catalog_description=Position%20Sensor%20For%20Motr onic%20Ignition%20%28%32%20per%20car%2C%20sold%20i ndividually%29%20%35%33%33i%20%28%31%39%38%33%2D%3 8%34%29%2C%20%35%33%35i%2Fis%20%28%31%39%38%35%2D% 38%38%29%2C%20Each%20%20

So may options...! What a DYIer to do?
Thank you all for the part numbers. The money saved will go toward fuel lines for the engine bay. The "J" was about to become a hazard...
So much to do still on the car...

One tip; can't take credit for it but it helped me out. The CHT wire is white. Both the speed and reference sender plugs are identical. Someone, don't know if it was Porsche, PO or a shop took a yellow paint pen and marked the speed sensor connectors on both the harness and sender side at the engine bracket.

Before I crawled into the wheel well I also marked one of my sensors and made sure I replaced marked with marked. I fed everything up into the engine bay and got the grommet back in place. When I went back into the engine bay I didn't have to remember which was speed and which was reference when staring at two identical connectors.

Good point. The engine is out of the car and I had marked quite a few things as I was stripping things thinking of the blessed time when everything gets put back together... I also used cable ties to label the fuel injection wires.
All suggestions welcome!
