I have pics, but not on this computer- I'll post later.
They were just pushed down a few inches, and a bracket added to hold them there. |

I fit 285 tires on my Carrera. Used a 10 lb dead blow and some 2x4 blocks to message the line a little. Didn't have to move them.
You wheel offset makes all the difference. |

Contact member BoxsterGT. He made this system for me (only have these prototype pics), finished kits are beautiful.

Elephant Racing sells "high clearance" oil lines that are made for just that purpose.I'm replacing my lines over the Winter due to headers and i picked up the high clearance lines in case i want to go to 275/40/17 tires eventually ...
Cheers ! Phil

I moved my lines down below the chassis crease, I also have a set of oil lines that go up above the wheel area but they were much more of a PIA.
![]() 275 or 285 width tire will need to be perfectly centered in the wheel well, there is virtually no wiggle room, even then the trailing arm bolts will need to be thinned and the fender lips massaged for clearance

No need for me to post a picture- Bill Verberg's looks just like what I did.

What Bill and others said about above the tires. But I differ with Bill on lowering the lines. We have had clients with very low cars (shortened shocks, etc) and the cv joint will rub thru the line.
The PIA solution to run the lines above the tires is the best bet. Make sure they are well secured. Self tap screws are NOT the way to clamp them down

![]() ![]() Here is what I made up for a fellow Pelican PK for his 71 with a 911SC motor and stock exhaust...... ![]() Had to adapt the fitting at the tank for the earlier 26mm inlet instead of the usual 30mm. Here's another for a early 911 with a 3.0 and SSI exhaust....... ![]() Its similar to what was done for Shaun 84 Targa. The routing at the oil regulator or thermostat looks like this....... ![]() Hoses were secured in (3) places and provide more than enough tire clearance. Len ![]() |
