Dont know the cause of this wreck ,I found the picture on the net. The part is the top injection unit (CIS). The driver side seat is also still intact. But man thats a bad wreck. Scary dont you think ?

I'm just pleased it's not a post to say "I've just bought this Porsche, can you tell me what parts I need".

Looks like an airbox and fuel distributor.

This accident was discussed at length on the Rennlist 911 list a year or so ago. I've long since lost the link with the rest of the pix. Supposedly the 911 driver limped away with minor injuries, but I have a hard time swallowing that...

Was it a 2 car collision or did it hit something stationary ? Amazing that someone could walk away from that.

This car was also discussed on this board last year, and it was also confirmed the driver walked away with minor injuries. From memory it rolled along some armaco, but I can't be positive.

I can tell from the picture that the front clip was cut off with rescue tools. And that the engine sheared from the engine compartment, from the force of impact.

See what can happen if you don't have that "pop off" valve.

The guy didn't walk away. He had a lot of injuries, but he lived. The guy in the other car walked away. As I remember it was a headon collision with an American car, I think.
His injuries were like broken bones bruising...

Ha ha ha on this
I'm just pleased it's not a post to say "I've just bought this Porsche, can you tell me what parts I need".

Very funny

Hello

the 911 run against a light truck and then under a steel construction that got trailered.
