Sticking throttle
I have a 1982 911sc Targa. The end of the throttle linkage is rubbing on the clutch linkage causing the throttle not to idle until I push in the clutch. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix the problem?
Thanks, Dave

Are you talking about the pedal cluster area and tunnel?
Or at the back end next to the transmission? |

It's at the front end by the pedal cluster. On the right end of the pedal cluster.

You probably have the clutch cable wrapped around the throttle linkage. You'll need to take the clutch cable out and try routing it again if this is the case.
Did you just put a new clutch cable on or mess with the throttle linkage before this happened? It's easy to get the cable and linkage tangled up a bit.

No I haven't done anything there. It seems to be getting worse(engine rpms higher) over time.
