Machine shop recommendations
I have a 2.2E that I need to send out to have prepared for a stock rebuild. Looking for a good shop(s) for case work, crank, rods, MFI pump, heads...etc.
I am located in Charleston, SC Thanks, Glenn |

I don't want to turn this thread into a MM or Pelicanite bashing thread, because I am interested in getting and understanding the "help/assistance/information" we need in order to have a good safe engine rebuild. MM is what it is and I also "Even in jest" find it repulsive to advocate these a$$clowns because of all the grief, hurt and loss of hard earned money they have caused throughout the industry and fellow enthusiast! I want to put this to bed, there are plenty of MM threads where bashing is due or accepted. Rest assured they won't be hearing from me! Thanks for your comment Marc, I spoke with Gus yesterday. Now...lets get this engine built! Glenn |

I freely admit I don't know anything. And I will again. And several times after I think I know a lot, I'll admit to not knowing anything. I apologize, deeply and with 100% sincerity, at having offended your tender sensibilities, and in the future when I make a joke, I will plainly point out that it *is* humor for those who might be colorblind or severely humor-impaired. |

Engine Machine Service (EMS) is the only game in our little town (Los Angeles). They can competently repair all of your components except for the MFI pump, which I also would send to Pacific. You can reach EMS (talk with either Bill or Dick) at 310-641-7019. They are located in Inglewood, CA. Their work is highly accurate; I've used them for more than twenty years (I have no affiliation other than being one of their customers), and they have never made a mistake on one of my jobs.
