Were tails indicated on option sheets?

Is it possible to tell if a car (carrera in this case) left the factory with a tail, ie is there a three digit option code for the tail?

there are several different Carrera models, but lets assime you mean the 3.2 Carrera built for MY'84-89.

If so then the answer is yes
M491 was turbo look which included the f/r spoilers among other things
or for regular n/b cars
M473 which was just the f/r spoilers
