Thanks everyone for the comments!
One thing I forgot to include is that I was able to "pay it forward" so-to-speak. Within weeks of getting my 911, my dad was in the market for a sports car. I said "you really ought to check out a Porsche." One drive in an 08 Cayman S and he was sold: ![]() Then a few months later my wife ended up with this 99 Boxster. The irony here is she was very much against me getting the 911. You'd never know it with that grin! ![]() Yep, once you get the passion it's hard not share it!

It's also more than just owning a car... it's all the new friends you meet while owning it! I'm getting close to 6 years now and I can't believe how many people I've met and how many adventures I've been on with the car. Over 50,000 miles of Porsche everyday magic! I'm always telling people to get off the couch and get one now, don't wait. Buying a car is just the start...

Many times we talk about resale value and the going trends of the market, but the real value is the experience you have during your ownership. +1 on the people you meet, I've made a lot of connections through the years and this forum has been more than awesome.
Don't be surprised to find that your car will most likely cost you nothing when it's time to move on, just love it and enjoy. |
