Magnus at Amelia Island Concours

We spotted Magnus Walker inspecting the IROC 911 at this year's Amelia Island Concours. Here's our initial photo gallery, which includes many of the great racing and street Porsches on display. Hope you enjoy!

He can go there to learn some stuff, study some details. He could even teach us some.

True anecdote: I had the pleasure of viewing at Hershey one of the previous concours winning cars, and its steering wheel was so badly re-stitched it was not even funny. I made the owner aware and he told me that the judges never even flinched at that detail.

Goes to say that knowledge can come from many sources, some less obvious than others.

And Magnus does deserve respect, as everyone else.

You guy's think that 65 built SR red coupe was not concours? Than wait for his 64. I'm guessing it will be top of the line..
For the rest, respect people how they are.

Those are factory racecars. Porsche didn't become the giant slayer and eventually a motorsports powerhouse by going with the flow. The engineers and designers used to go over the rules with a fine toothed comb looking for anything and everything they could tweak to gain an advantage. Who is to say that Magnus isn't looking for inspiration for his next motorsports inspired project.

A lot of the things Magnus does aren't original. His decklid louvers, for example. Right out of 356 history.

I do not disbelieve in anything. I start from the premise that everything is true until proved false. Everything is possible.

No (however, I am not Jack ). But, there was an uninstigated personal attack regarding hygiene that was obviously in poor taste . . .

Such a shame that anyone would waste time passing judgement on a talented guy like Magnus. Fortunately there are people with class like Jack Olsen that are able to intervene and squash goof ball posters with nothing nice to say. The majority of enthusiasts are open minded people that care more about the Cars than what a person looks like. keep em coming Magnus. You're a breath of fresh air to this hobby. I love your Styling and how you apply it to the 911.

Just returned from the Amelia Island concours. I was a first time attendee. Very impressed. I found out something everyone else who has attended already knows-this event rocks. Huge display of cars. Something for everyone. Only thing I didn't see was a Ferrari GTO. They told me it was featured last year.

Also had lunch with Magnus and his lovely wife. Great people. Magnus is the real deal. True enthusiast. Always looking at the details on not just 911's but other cars as well. Plus, he was treated like a rock star. Couldn't go more than ten yards before someone stopped him asking for a photograph. His wife teased him that people wanted his photo because they thought he was one of the cast of Duck Dynasty.

One of my friends ran into Magnus, and he graciously posed for a photo with her. It's on her facebook page. Definately one of her best memories of the weekend.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. Interesting to see Magnus on the prowl. I'm sure many of us wonder what he is up to next.
