Fan removal...

Can the fan be removed from the alternator will the alternator and housing are still installed on the motor?

Is it as simple as removing the pully hub and pulling the fan?

ahhh, it is best to remove as a unit a puller might crack the fan, best to bang the front of the fan housing on a a block of wood and allow the alt. to drop free of the fan holding the housing and the alt. repeat as required and be carful inertia will pull the alt out off the shaft.
