ICV location on an 86 3.2?

Does anyone have a photo of the ICV location for an 86 3.2?

Its directly below the throttle body. There's a short 90 degree hose that connects it to the intake.

I have the PET for 87-89 cars and can't seem to find it?
is it shown in these anywhere? Might it be called something else on the PET?

FYI, if you need to replace it: 944s and some Volvos use the same part. You can usually find cheap used ones on ebay. The bosch p/n is 0280140501.

I'll have to see what condition its in once I pull it off. Not sure what MEK is but I have read on other post that alcohol is what is recommended to be used in cleaning.

Just looked at the PO service records and it looks like the ICV was changed in 2000 only about 8k miles ago.
Should it need cleaning so soon?

If you replace it don't buy a cheap one that is not a Bosch off of ebay. I did and it was garbage. It became faulty not long after I bought it. Had to replace it with a Bosch. All is well since.

2nd on dont go cheap. I wouldnt even try to clean it. The parts 25 to 30 years old, its done its job. Oh, I just saw that yours was changed a while ago. In that case disregard, its probably not the ICV as it is a fairly robust part, unless it was a cheap version.

Clean it rather than replace it. It's just a metal electromagnet flap door thingy. Gets carboned up and sticks.

I pulled one of an older 740 volvo that was the same exact one at a u-pull yard. That's what I have in my car. My original one had a broken connector.

There are a many post regarding the cleaning of the ICV to address idle bounce issues.

The Bently Manual has a test procedure.
You may want to search the forum.
