Help with early 911/912 VIN code 454331

Looking to buy this car and the owner says it is a 1967 911. However, I can't find a 67 that starts with 454 vin. His title shows 1967 911, but I think could be 912. Can anyone help me identify what this car is? He says there is no ID plate, just a stamped vin. Please help! Thanks guys

454331 is for a 1966 912 with a Karmann body.

The VIN plate should be on the lower hood latch support, just behind the front bumper with the trunk lid open.

There is also a stamped VIN in the trunk under the carpet, near the "smuggler's box" on the passenger side.

Here's the 912 Registry VIN table: 912 Registry | VIN Table

If the car was a 1966 model but not sold new until 1967, some states titled it in the year first sold.
