Breather Hose Question
Quick Question,
I am doing some preventative maintenance on my newly acquired 1980 SC and am surveying hoses that might need replacing or upgrading. Engine is a stock 3.0 I checked the Bentley manual and Wayne's World but have not found anything. Is there a breather hose missing on the right side of my air box ? I do see that the braided breather hose is kinked and looks like it has been spliced. Thanks for your time. ![]() ![]()

I have an 83sc and have the same port that is not hooked up to anything. There might also be a smaller one on the opposite side. I think that they may have been used for the air injection system which my car does not have. You might want to make sure that both of them are plugged as they are downstream of the air filter. If you look in the parts catalogue you will find a part number for the plugs, but they are no longer available. Warren

Air Box Port
Hmmm.
Mine is not plugged. Can't be good to have air being sucked in before the air filter. I will find a cap that I can clamp over it.
