Oil cooler leaking, what brand to go for?

The fender mounted oil cooler on my 3.2 has sprung a leak and pelican list two types, the oe German one and a cheaper reproduction.

Has anyone had any experiences with the repro one? There is only one review pointing out that it had no blanking plugs when supplied!

Thanks

I decided to replace one of the soft line sections at the cooler because it was frayed. In the process of trying to remove them one of the fittings popped out of the cooler. I just ended up replacing both soft lines and using the laengerer+reich cooler from pelican. It has exact dimensions. It did need a plug so I just took it to the local hardware store, found the right pipe plug (about a buck), put a little blue permatex on it and thread it in. I did install the oil cooler scoop also while I was at it and painted the cooler grill. So far good cooling and no leaks.

dickster,

I would see if you can find a place locally that can test/repair it. It may just need a bit of soldering. If I am to believe Wheeler Dealers there is a boatload of blokes in your neck of the woods that do this sort of thing.
