What is this darn part?
When I rebuilt my door handle, last year, I found a plastic ring in the lock (wrapping around the cylinder's end) was broken. I reassembled the handle without the plastic ring, but I would like to order a new one. I can't figure out the part number to buy on Pelican!
Any ideas? Its circled in the picture. ![]()

I've been looking for that little bushing as well. Both have cracked and fallen apart on mine. I couldn't find a part number, but saw that it came in new cylinder kits. Just not interested in paying that kind of money to get them.

The old one fell into pieces, so I don't have enough info to get something similar from the hardware store.

on some German locks (1980's VW) those things are cone shaped, and you'll never find one at Home Depot; you could try an O-ring but the cone-shaped rings are too narrow for an O-ring to fit
if somebody DOES find a source for those things let me know! Last edited by RWebb; 03-24-2013 at 07:29 PM.. |
