More 4 Cam Heaven than 911, still cool

The place is somewhere near the border, and more for the 356 4 Cam crowd but there are some 911's in there check the video.

JACQUES PLACE

I bedlieve that's Jacque at Scott's Porsche in National City. I haven't been in there for years and years. Long ago I heard he had lots of interesting items stored away but never knew exactly what.

Looks like a place full of goodies many people performing restorations would kill to spend some $$.

I passed by his shop about a year ago with my brother and spoke to him for quite sometime. Amazing story and history that can be seen by just taking a walk around that place. The inventory is simply remarkable.

Don't know if it was the music, but that is sad to me. An old guy surrounded by all that treasure. And cars that could be out there running and giving folks the chance to enjoy them.
And as has been mentioned all the parts not going into cars being restored or kept alive and running.

But for me the loss is the knolwedge living in the guys head that could be shared with people coming into the hobby.

Remember the excitement about the 4 cam engine found in Colorado a couple of years ago? This trumps that find big time.

I may be jumping to conclusions, but that place looks frozen in time with him in it.
Some life and action could revive lots there.

Cheers Richard

PS Flyn Hawn, where are you from in the islands?

Richard yes from the islands, big island. Also for your info if you are ever shipping large or heavy parts try Hawaiian Ocean Transport. I just shipped a pair of seats to Wahiawa and they were $206 delivered to his residence. I did have to drop them at their warehouse in carson ca. but they would have picked them up.

Aloha,
Dave
