How do you value an early roller?

I came across an early roller chassis. The guy is asking way more than it's probably worth. It's just a shell. No bumpers, gas tank, hood, decklid or front fenders. No title either.

Not sure how to establish value. Or how to get a title on a car with no title. Not even sure it has a VIN.

Many longhood rollers I have seen in the last couple years are selling for crazy money. I think people are trying to get one while they still can.

Turns out you're right. Just found out it sold for $7k. Seller apparently also had it listed on eBay. Sold for $1500 over what I was told was the original asking price.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Early cars are bringing the money now. But for a shell with no vin I think you can find better.

If its the same one I saw, the rear quarters were fiberglass turbo style bonded to trimmed standard steel quarters. No thanks.

Well the good news is that I was kicking the idea around with my better half and I got "where are you going to put it?" which is much different than "aw HELL no!"
