Just think what it would have gone for if it had an image of the Virgin Mary on the back!!! P.T. Barnham said it: one a minute.

This is nuts, isn't it?

I threw out some of these recently! I can see one crazy person, but there were 6 different bidders in the big buck range.

OMFG, what gives?

The eBay badge has value because it is an original with orange bars instead of the red bars. They are very important to concours judges and originality freaks. The ones available today are either with the translucid red bars, or poor repros of the orange ones.
Now 500+$...

Do you know how much a hood badge weighs??!??!!

A decal is the only answer. then spend the other $480 on a set of Snap On hole saws....

Thom, way too cool. Is it on the floor or in a wall? That is a red badge, btw.

OK, I'm confused...

The listing on ebay looks "Red" to me, but of course is proclaimed to be "orange".

So is this Orange or Red?

judging by the brush marks in the concrete I'd guess that's a floor... It's a traction thing

Cool Idea, btw.

(Getting the orange paint out...)

Someone told me mine was one of the 'orange' one.

That emblem is embedded in the concrete in front of my shop.

You can get an "orange" one from Stoddard for $35. I just installed mine on my 69. I guess I'll sell my old one on Ebay and make a nice profit.
