1995 DME harness question ?
Hey guys,
Can anybody tell me what those cut wires do on a 95 993 DME harness ? Going with a 3.6 and i need to know what those wires are used for and if i need to use them.They would be the two large wires out of the plug and the two smaller ones as well as the four which have terminals on them ... I'm kind of baffled on this issue as i now have a 95 3.6 engine for install but all the wiring,intake and related parts are in boxes, basically a basket case ... as the engine has been sitting for the last 12 years in the PO's garage ...
All the conversion parts are on order but i need to figure out the electricals ! Cheers ! Phil

DME harness
There seems to be a fuse wired up between the two cut wires on an original new harness,would anybody know the purpose ?
Picture is of a brand new OEM part. Still trying to figure this out ... Cheers ! Phil

Phil, as Bill said, that is either for the HVAC system or the SAI pump which you will be removing anyway. Are you running heat in your car?

Hey Dennis,
Nope ... no heat,no A/C,just the basics.Seller managed to find the original DME harness and i lucked out and sourced a 95 DME ECU locally. Although everything's in boxes i should have it all figured out soon enough.Got my first order from Patrick Motorsports on the way so i'll be able to put the engine on the stand and build it up slowly.Going to run my 3.2 until the May track weekend then the 3.6 goes in ... Should be ready when you guys come down to LCMT in July  I'll send you some pics tomorrow! Cheers ! Phil
