Best paint or restoration shop in Southern Calif.?
It's true what they're saying about fewer and fewer high end body shops wanting to do restoration work.
Two years ago I got a wonderful paint job from a shop that also handles collision repair. When I called them this week to have the 914-6 painted they said I'd have to wait until after Jan. 1 to get an estimate and Summer 2004 to get car in for paint. So I called a place in Orange County that painted some trim rings for me on the 911. They don't do this kind of work at all anymore! The quality of the job is what I care most about, would like someone who uses Glasso paint and knows how to work on old Porsches. I keep hearing "try a restoration shop" but don't know of any. Any advice for So. Cal. area? Thanks. Pete

Garage Los Ponchos in Tijuana. See James' (Redbeard) post about the work he has had done. A windows out dent removal paitn job that came out great. I have had several cars including 2 914s done there.
