Here is a 1971 picture of a German 68-T I imported from Germany. You can't see much of the side view mirror but I am certain it was the original one that came with the car. I don't remember what it looked like but it seems to be an early flag mirror. Maybe not.

The larger Durant began in 68 but, like many changes, may not have begun with the very first models produced. Since your car is an early 68, it's quite likely it came with the smaller mirror. No guarantee, but I wouldn't doubt it. We all are aware of situations where the factory used up the remaining stock of parts before using the later adaptions.

FWIW, my '68 had the small Durant when I acquired it.
