Update on "my issues"

Besides my addiction to Porsche cars of course lol... I realized a long time ago "I have a problem." but oh well.

In all seriousness... thanks to the community for the help lately. All the advice has been fantastic, as well as the support. A member pm'd me about a bosch coil after reading my "Coils" thread.. it tests fantastic, same part # and mine tested a bit off. So it seems my missing issue was the ignition.

I ordered new oil lines, did a compression test (everything tested good, I have one cyl a bit lower than the rest, but it is within acceptable spec) just so I know "where it is" - new plugs, new washers (and I'll torque those without thor's hammer).

I've had a chance to replace the gasket for the sender on the tank (didn't need it, but I figured it was a good opportunity), rewired the sender on the tank (wires were mangled, no wonder it hasn't been reporting). New breather hoses...

It should be back on its feet tonight. I would finish it right now but I just got word from my instructor that I may be doing my first training flights this afternoon so I'm scrambling to get my gear ready.

Thanks again to everyone, this community is awesome! This order I placed with parts is one of the first time I've had to call Pelican with questions and I gotta say the help was amazing and they were knowledgeable. I'm glad I wasn't calling with tech questions to "just some guy who knows the parts" but people who have worked on their own cars, other cars and know the cars. It's a pretty awesome thing that pelican has staff like that.

PS: Did Porsche design these as natural tool holders? Seems like it...

- New plugs, cap, rotor, coil
- Replaced grounding plate, redid ground (will get a picture when it's done)
- Cleaned up and cleaned out the oil tank
- New sender gasket for tank
- New main oil line from tank to oil cooler (was starting to get old, showed signs of cracking)
- New cam line, replaced the right a month ago, left was now starting to show signs of seeping)
- New breather hoses
- 13 happy quarts of brad penn 20w50
- Valve adjustment
- Head stud check (and all are good)
- Compression test
- Clutch adjustment
- Various wire fixes

Ohhhhhhh I can't wait to go drive.
