What is the red light located near the tailpipe???

I can't post pictures from this ipad, but I've come across threads where a few 911's have a square-ish red light mounted under the rear bumper and just right of the tailpipe.

What is it for?
Is it a euro thing?
Does Pelican sell them?

Euro rear fog light. They come up for sale every so often. I just saw one recently. A search should bring it up.

What is it for? It is a much stronger red light than the regular rear red lights. Those can be quite dim when brake lights are not on which happens when driving country roads or even rural freeways. If a car then runs into a fog bank it cannot be seen from following cars. But the much brighter rear fog light punches through the fog and makes the car visible. It's a safety issue and required equipment in European countries like Germany.
