Front/Rear window trim

I've purchased Porsche brand front and rear window seals with plans to replace the 26 year old seals on my carrera. I also purchased "chrome" trim pieces from Vertex. Anyone have experience with these trim pieces? Do they fit?
Best
Chris

Didn't Carreras have black window trim, not chrome? I thought chrome trim was dropped around 1979-80??

I'm correcting Porsche's mistake of going to black anodized trim!

Hey Arne,
I'm hoping to finish the "trim" revision in the next month or two. I've got the pieces for the rear quarter windows as well. When I get back from vacation, I'll be contacting one of the glass shops in Eugene to get help with window work
Best,
Chris

I just put in front and rear glass. It was not nearly as bad as people says. About a year ago I installed quarter windows. The trim on those was a pain.

My real concern is the replacement "bright" trim pieces. They arrived in perfect shape and seem to be correct in size. I assume they're aftermarket. If anyone has experience with the vertex product, I would appreciate feedback. I'm not averse to going with Porsche brand if there is a clear advantage.

Keep me posted on the progress. Or call me and we can meet for lunch while you're up here.

Side topic, your wheels ever make it back yet?

The wheels are getting close. It's only been around ten months. They will be fantastic!

Also, remember that the next Central Chapter event is a drive/picnic on May 18. Meeting in Eugene, driving north to Thompson's Mill State Park.
