Door Arrestor

Anyone every have the door sheet metal that the Door Arrester attaches too break? If so how did you repair it.

I just noticed it this morning when the door made a popping sound.
Checked it out and noticed that it was the metal was cracked and broken.

I have not removed the door panel yet to inspect it. Just from looking at what broke loose it is too thin to Mig Weld.

your not going to like the answer but now that it is that far .. a lot more than taking the door off ..

sounds like a winter project ... see if you can get the door stop separated before it tears any more ... then be careful about windy streets when opening the door ...
