930\935 LED Boost Gauge

Yes, I know, most people think they are ricey.

A customer of mine bought one from Ebay. It did not come with a sender.

For wiring it has:

red\black wire +12V
brown wire Gnd
blue wire
brown\white
andwhat looks to be a small RCA jack

This is not the same wiring that is on the 930S.

Attached are two images

If anyone has seen one of these before and has any insight I would appreciate it. North Hollywood Speedo has no ideas....

Thanks

AFJuvat

Andial used to sell a similar gauge, but I can't tell if it was the same because of the face being out of focus.

Get a decade resistance box...attach to the sensor lead....try varying values of resistance (starting very high) until the guage starts to show results.
Other side of box goes to ground or power...depending on what works....try ground first.
This will give you some idea of the numbers involved in getting the thing to work.
Then...ask at the local parts counter to see what the ranges are for various senders (in Ohms)...as to pressure.
Not the most elegant way to do it...but will give you aidea of what you are looking for.

These are very rare and even more expensive when found.
Are you a purest or just desire an LED boost gauge. Google LED boost gauge and TDI.
There is a kit and you can install the LEDs in anything.
I've taken the face off non- functioning clocks ( aren't they all), remove the clock guts and cut for a smaller A/F ratio gauge, then replace the front bezel. With a little effort and less engineering you can make your own with similar modification.

Please don't bump 9 year old threads with your "wanted to buy" requests..

Noticed one on ebay right now (no affiliation): Porsche 930 Boost Gauge Digital | eBay
