Those wheels look better than 90% of the aftermarket wheels made for our cars.
Just bought a set of tooling from a machinist to put Porsche pattern on VW. For me cheaper than adapters and no offset.
What are the sizes and Craigslist prices?

I personally HATE those wheels on Vettes...

HOWEVER...when fit to VW's they look awesome!

I'd go for it! And make sure the finish is just as trick as the idea
