I recieved my tune-up parts for my 86 Carrera (3.2 L)last night and everything checks out OK except for the distributor cap. The one that was on the car has spring loaded J-bolt type things that secure the cap to the dist. housing but the new one just has macine screws. Obviously, there is nothing to screw these into. The part numbers match on the invoice with what Pelican and other sites have listed for the dist. but something is goofy here (part # 930.602.919.00).
Does anyone know if this distributor cap is from a different year (the one with spring loaded J-bolts)? Maybe the previous owner swapped distributors? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike 86 Carrera |

you probably got a 964 cap. they have machine screws. 03202 is the bosch# for 84-89 carreras.

John,
Thanks you were right. The part I ordered was correct, they just sent the wrong one I ordered 930602.919.00 and they sent the .01 instead (Bosch #03362). They are sending the correct one today. Thanks again. |
