Tool Kit

Does anyone know if there is a after market tool kit for say a 1985 Porsche 911? These things are very rare to find used and if you do find one it is $400!!! I bought the main tools that I need but it would be cool to have the whole, correct kit. Thank you, Nick

Probably the hardest one to place is the rubber lipped allen nut to remove the battery hold down mount and spark plug removal tool with spring.

I haven't seen any but couldn't you make up your own??? (I mean the tool roll)

$400 seems excessive for a tool kit. My 78 came with the original so I was lucky.
But I also carry a small kit of additional tools wherever I go.

I did a search on e-bay and found a number of tool kits there.

I would be interested in a source for just the pouch. any suggestions.

I know the purist will argue that the original tool kits are great, but jeez, $400 for near china level busted knuckles quality?? If you follow the concours scene, I understand. A few of the special tools in the kit are needed but you could substitute.

The 1980's era had a vinyl roll bag. That too is low quality. All sorts of quality leather or canvas tool rolls are available if you search the fine woodworking marketplace.

One of these days, I'll have to sort out my bottom junk drawer full of never used Klein's and Hazet tools and cash in! That goes too for those crappy Porsche compressors that just lay loose in the luggage compartment?!

PM sent to ya...

This one is needs some cleanup, but has rust-free snaps, and is solid. Might help to throw it in the washer and then condition it? $25 including Priority Mail shipping...edit: second picture lies a bit, it's actually nice and black still....

I have two of the battery allen wrenches and the spark plug wrench if interested.

Thanks Dan! I have over the months put together a pretty good tool kit. I still need the factory spark plug wrench. This may be the place to get it!

Hi Nick...Why not go for the 25 dollar pouch that is offered and then add to it from that point. You will likely find 'individual' pieces easier to find and for only a few dollars....Do you have the jack?

Here is the lay out...https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/0/?ui=2&ik=3e63e4db24&view=att&th=13e3feeeb04eec39&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P-DOb88eyrooMi7ILdhrmjh&sadet=1368081262943&sads=9O3gEye_zg6f1ipHGDh4wx1SerM&sadssc=1
