failed Smog test
My 1983 SC Failed Smog test due to "Gross Evap Leak" passed in all other areas.
Does anyone have experience in tracing leak down, or is it best to start replacing all lines? or ? ![]() |

On my last test report (11/2012) for my '82 SC the category for "Fuel EVAP test" is marked "Not Applicable."
My fuel tank was not pressurized, and my gas cap was not tested. We do use rollers in Kern County, and the car is tested at 15 mph & 25 mph. What are your CO & HC numbers?

Looking at hoses only one hose gos into charcoal canister ? also a hose is coming out of unit (not sure what you call) has throttle cable on left rear corner of engine, this gos no where? I have not touched engine since rebuild in 2007, smog shops and Porsche dealer are the only ones who have messed with. getting hard to trust anyone.
