thank you guys for the quick replies, I took a look at this car in the morning, its a 1983 euro model with what looks to be original paint but in not so good condition. interior needs attention as well, owner claims its a 38000 miles car but from the look of the interior and the driver seat it looks more like a 100,000 miles. it idles and starts with no noises, A/C works! well not cold but works. here's more pictures, what do you think its worth? am I getting myself in trouble here?

looks like a good 20'er. 86 rear stop light/tail added sometime, bumper scoop for oil cooler could be for over heating issues, need a ppi/leak down testing before making a decision.

As others have mentioned, it is for the air pump. US models got a frequency valve and some other emissions controls, but the RoW just had an air pump and no cat. It's common to delete them if emission testing isn't required.

IMHO, the RoW '81-'83 are the best of the SC's. The 930/10 motor had 9.8:1 compression ratio and made 204 hp/197 ft/lbs torque. You'll need to run premium gas.

That also looks like a sunroof delete car which makes it lighter to the tune of about 35 lbs. Looks to be a well taken care of car from the pics. If in good condition, I'd jump on it. Loose the 40 lb turbo tail and you'll have a light and quick little SC!

that looks a lot like the car a guy from new orleans was asking about a while ago re: value. there was activity on the thread recently. i agree with taking the 38k miles with a whole salt shaker...it takes 30 seconds to swap speedometers on these cars.

From what I noticed, the car has the extra A/C condenser in the rear wheel well, a finned oil structure under the oil tank, powder coated fan and other parts like the valve covers, it smoked for the first 5 minutes of running it but looked like the smoke stopped when it got warm. I checked the oil level and it was overfilled by 1/2" over the max mark, will that cause the smoke? the front windshield had a gap on the top center with the body of the car! not sure if the glass is not original but the rubber seal is toast and brittle! the owner is asking $18,500 is it a good deal if compression and leak down numbers are good?

MAYBE, those numbers are just part of the puzzle. rust under the battery and at the base of the windshield at both sides are common. little overfilled on the oil. lots of aftermarket air conditioning looks like. 15K sounds better. if your nimble with a wrench or like a project then it could be a good deal

Same Pulley my 83 ROW motor has

Pulley is what came on my 83 ROW 3.0 motor. IMHO. ROW 3.0 better than the US 3.0 and close to the Euro C3 3.0. Car looks clean. However, I highly recommend the checks/PPI the 1000+ posters put on this thread. Non-Sunroof is a cool coupe. Best of luck.
