				Broken 3.2 Carrera strut
			 
			This happened on the track at Buttonwillow - didn't go off or hit anything....   Is this a common fail point?

			I had one that was 'lowered' break at the weld, at mid-ohio (15 years ago)

			Very unusual..are you using turbo tie rods? They can put more stress on the suspension/shock tube.

			Crack probably got started on a previous track day during an agricultural tour.

			Turbo tie rods... Yes.... Old part... Yes, original strut! Also lowered w/o bump steer kit, and 23mm torsion bars. I believe there have been a few agricultural excursions as well. I guess it all adds up!
