Careful Paul, she looks mean.;)

You've got to admit though, that they have a near flawless feedback rating. So, these cars must be as good as the ads say. This one:
appears to have actually sold for $38,000! Unbelievable, but if you believe the feedback left, TRUE! It's easy to take pot shots at these guys, but having a good ad is very important... -Wayne |
Easy- and fun, Wayne!
I really like the adds actually. It makes me proud to own a 911 when I read about how good they are. Heck, I'd sprawl my missus over the hood dressed in a couple of clam shells and a fig leaf it it got me another 10K. Not that I would ever sell. Same goes for the Porsche. |
Matt? You'd have to add the cost of the tattooing to the car's selling price. :D
|
Paul, you are right. What's the going rate for 3 Porsche crest tattoos nowdays? Small ones, not the type that goes right across the shoulder blades that I had the misfortune to see lately...
|
"We came to town to see, the tattooed lady, my uncle Ned was there....she was a sight to see, tatooed from head to knee..."
|
<i>"You've got to admit though, that they have a near flawless feedback rating."</i>
You're absolutely right, Wayne. Here's the feedback on that 72 Targa that went for $38k: <i>"Great seller! Condition is as represented. Bill is a man of his word! "</i> Now before you say they could have anybody submit feedback for them, they've got 159 unique users making those types of comments. They've got a hell of an operation going. And if their customers are happy, more power to them. Besides, it's free entertainment for all of us!! :D -- Curt |
Is it true that brown paint actually reduces horsepower and torque on a sports car?
I mean, it's brown, man. Brown. What's up with that? |
Nostatic, you've got quite a collection of tattooed lady pics. New hobby, eh?

Attention K-Mart Shoppers
The cheesy steering wheel cover didn't do much for me.
The did work on this description a bit more than past ones. now they are beginning to read like a Mickey Spillane novel. |

Okay Gents..........
Let's get serious here.................the color is SEPIA BROWN. Believe it or not Dr. Porsche loved the color so much he had his 928 painted in Sepia Brown for his daily driver. Back when Porsche offered Lime Green, Lemon Yellow, Purple, Electric Blue and the like, the buyer must have looked at Sepia Brown as non-mainstream. Today, Sepia Brown sort of fits amongst all those muted colors. A dealer told me recently it was more fitting back then for the English Country gentleman to take his touring "T" Sepia 911 for a backroad jaunt! Ta ta...... Take it from a Sephia Brown 911T owner, I get more thumbs up then down on the color and it does grow on you. The only reason I have'nt gone to another color is strictly for originality. Nice to know Mark Donahue thought well of the "T". Regards Bob 73.5T |

Hey Bob, I think Sepia Brown is a fantastic period color for early 911's!! -- Curt

Sepia Brown is a good stealth color; doesn't fool the radar/laser instead it doesn't draw the attention of the person running the radar/laser. Cheers, Jim

That car is looks fantastic. I love the color. A pair of H4s on the front and the look would be perfect in my eyes.

The perfect car to drive to Hershey. ;) -- Curt

Hey, I'm all for Brown myself, but I've never cared for Sepia. I like the Mocha brown some cars have, as well as Aubergine (dark purple), because they're close to black while being "different." I think on that car the color is hurt by the use of clear-coat.
