Question Spark Plugs

I just picked up some spark plugs, Bosch W7DC. The suggested one for my 86 Carrera is a WR7DC, and I am assuming the lack of "R" means that there is no resistor in the plug? I am just about to install new plug wires this weekend as well and they are not shielded. Am I asking for trouble by not having shields or resistors?

Thanks,
Mike

No ... they're only for compliance with RFI limits in Europe. You may hear extra noise in your audio system, though!
