Lightbulb cheap fix on window regulator

I would think someone has done this before. I had a problem with my window regulator where the teeth on the regulator were worn out and not making contact with the gear on the motor.I got another regulator to fix this but found out that i had got an older one than fitted to my car (911 sc 1982 targa). So i moved the motor closer to the teeth on the regulator by drilling two new holes so i could push the gear on the motor into the teeth ,this made better contact with the teeth and the window is now going up and down. Just hope it lasts.
