Can I remove the dash booard on my 75 911 without pulling the windshield? How difficult is the project?

Hi mreid, I think, to do it right, you need to remove the windshield. I recently did my dash and used the opportunity to get rid of my old pitted W/S. Took me a couple of years to acquire a core dash, have the core restored, acquire a new W/S, W/S seal and new W/S trim. Then........did the switch in one weekend.

You have to pull the windshield, not a difficult job.

When I replaced my dash, pulling and reinstalling the windshield was the easiest part of teh job. There are a couple of nuts holding the dash on that almost require another joint in your arm to reach.

Just removed the dash from my 74 parts car and if all the HVAC hoses and motor is removed the nuts aren't hard to reach. There are a few male plastic plugs that are in the dash that plug into female holes by the WS. These will break if you tug dash straight back. Also it is likely the WS is holding down the end of the dash itself and even if you get it out, installing dash means the front edge will look all wrong and likely lift up from sun exposure etc. Not to mention difficulty with defroster vents. So I'd wait until WS replacement if you care about appearance.
