Door Lock question 1987

I´ve recently started experiencing a problem while locking my car. Sometimes the key will turn 360° without anything happening. It will happen while opening and locking the car. Other times it works fine. I´ve researched a little and suspect that a screw on the back of the lock barrel might have come loose and be the culprit. Has anyone else experienced anything like this and if so can they confirm my suspicions before I go taking the door apart. Cheers

Oh its only happens on the drivers door, The other side it fine

In any case, you will need to remove it to assess the damage. just take care to make sure the white wire does not snag on any moving component or you will cause a short in the locking system.

I´ll disconnect the battery first to avoid just that but thanks for the tip.
