Should I replace stock clutch with aftermarket or stock?

Hey fellow pelicanites, I configured a few searches but did not find an answer / the advice I am looking for so I have decided to post.

I have to replace the clutch on my 1987 911. The engine is basically a stock 3.2. I do have long term plans to do a 3.6 but its probably at least a couple years away.

I am considering the KEP clutch and a lightened fly wheel from Patrick Motorsports but have reservations of engine stalling with the flywheel even after having a custom chip programmed.

Also, I don't know if its really of value to deviate from the stock clutch if I have no near term plans of pushing any additional HP.

Great appreciate any advice folks can provide as I need to decide in order to order parts and get my baby back on the road!

Best regards,

Gerry

Gerry,
I have the Patrick MS lightweight flywheel and pressure plate on my '89 and have no problems stalling the engine. Other than a stiffer clutch pedal I don't find any difficulties with start up. It's a little noisier than stock but I really like the way the engine spins up with the reduced mass.
Go for it!

Thanks for the input! Can anyone else share their experience with the KEP and Patrick motors ports lightened flywheel set up?
