Rear end looks like it was replaced from a later year model, the torsion bar holes look to be in the right place but the distance from tire to front end of rear bumper looks big. Flares appeared for the 1969 year model along with 2 1/4" longer wheelbase. Rear lid is wrong, there should be a divider spanning the grill opening; divider is about 2" wide and made of sheet steel. Rear grill is plastic and from a 1973(?) or later year model.

Be wary and have a competent PPI especially looking for rear end collision repair. Don't be fooled by the "911S" on the rear lid, again this is from 1974 through 1977 year models. Front headlight trims are from 1968 (USA version) or newer; also the front fenders look flared; the pre-1969 cars had very small flares; doors and handles are correct.

Paul hit all the major points spot on. I would add to the wrong list: headlights (sugar scoops), side mirror (flag style), wheels (16's?), and window trim pieces (black). There may be a lot more, but that is what I see now with limited photos.

I would be very concerned this car was heavily damaged at some point and was pieced back together with mid-year parts, and other years thrown in for good measure. Oh, and the red brake calipers must add some horsepower! j/k.

Forgot to add that even though the car seems to be compiled with lots of different years' parts, it still could be put back together a little better and be a hoot to drive.

...I hate to mention that it may also be valuable...screw valuable...drive it if you like it!

Would this be a good candidate for a resto-mod singer style?.the engine is a 2.7
Does 10k seem fair?Or way to expensive

The whole Singer thing is very cool, but not something I would strive toward with a SWB. If you are referencing "Singer" to imply hot-rod style, then yes, I would definitely say it is a decent candidate for a hot-rod (if straight and not too much rust). 10K could be a great deal, but will have to be closely inspected. Targas are not the normal hot-rod, but I think it could be fun.

I would get that car on a lift and look it over very closely. Targas like to rust across the targa bar and fold in half. Depending what was repaired and how will tell everything about whether to buy or run.

If you get it, I would get some lwb rear arms and fix that wheel gap issue. Looks totally wrong.

What gearbox is the 2.7 mated to? 901 or 915?

Agree with above - these are wrong for the year:
- Flares
- Wheels
- Decklid
- Decklid grill
- Mirror
- Headlights
- Hard to see but rear corner lights look wrong
- S trim on the rear bumper

Someone attached a later model rear end to the chassis and added the later year front fenders.

Drivers door front gap looks wrong, especially at the intersection of the rocker panel and front fender. I'd look real close at what was repaired and altered due to collision or rust and how it was all welded back together. It's also probably not the original color... people tend to overspray everything and make a real mess.

No 1967 Targa's were hard windows !!! Looks like someone converted it. Was a common practice to replace the soft window with a glass unit.

Kinda looks like it might still have the soft window chrome trim under the Targa bar.

Ahhh - I forgot! Good point - no hard window Targas in 1967.
