whats the red light?
silly question but after rebuilding my 2.7 911 engine ive got a red light on all the time. its the light above the alternator light. is it oil pres? the pres is good.

Is your hand brake up? If so, the light will flash...

Did you hook up the oil pressure switch located on the top front of the engine? Jim

i remember hooking up the cable, but maybe its come lose.
when u say the front, do you mean the end of the engine that is nearest the front of the car? i did replace the switch while the engine was out, just for the sake of it, could it be the wrong rating? |

Yes, front as installed in the car. It's near the engine mounted oil thermostat. Jim
