Where you have them done also depends on your definition of "restored" when talkin about Fuchs. If you are thinking of a bright, polished finish (which is not original), there are many places to consider. If you want them re-anodized as original (truly restored), there are only a handful of places in the country that can do this. Harvey is one, widely regarded as the best. Others include Al Reed, and Wheel Enhancement in CA, with a few others in other parts of the country. Expect a bare minimum of 4-6 weeks for basic work, probably much longer.

Harvey Weidman at Weidman's Wheels in Oroville, CA. He is the standard by which all are compared. The only problem is he is busy and it could take a while to get your wheels back. If you have another set to run on, or your car is apart being restored (like mine) then time may not be a real problem.

Hi - how long do you estimate Harvey will take to refinish a set of 80's 16" Fuchs to factory finish? Regards, Steve

I'm curious why it takes so long. Is it the tools (only one set and very expensive to get another one) or the craftsman (skilled hands, takes years to perfect, haven't taught any new blood) ? Harvey did fix one of my wheels, took about 4 weeks, but that's through the body shop. Maybe he prioritized it.

I've used him to refinish two sets of Fuchs, one set in 2008 and one in 2013. The first set took 5 months, the second set took 9. He'll give you a rough estimate when you call, but you should take what he says and double it.
