I should be able to make it. How many "races" should we plan on. I would think on a Thursday we should be able to get at least a couple in.

You should probably plan on 2 races, the place is open til late, but after the races I was a little tired.
My forearms are still sore.

Richard,
How busy was this place when you were there vs their capacity? You said helmets were required... did they have face shields or were they open? I'd like to use my own, but it doesn't have any eye protection. How many cars are on the track for a race? |

They said Thursday night is the best, before the weekend and after the Wednesday Bikini night. Helmets are provided or you can bring your own. They make you put the shield down so I presume that eye protection is needed
They race 14 cars per session and the sessions go about every 20 minutes. I had zero wait time the 2 times I went. You do 3 practice laps that they use for qualifing, then stop you on the track, line you up fastest in the front, the you go for 13 more lap race. After your done they provide you with a sheet of evey lap time for every driver.

Do you know if you need a valid drivers license to participate. I was thinking of bringing my stepson with me and his license is suspended at the moment.

No need for license. Just need to be 5'2"
Just remember the smaller and lighter they are, the faster they will go. So dont put any money up. There was this 75lbs kid that was in the same heat as I was. I could not get around him, I would drive under him in the corners and vrrmmm he would come off the corners like a bat out of hell. So lighter is better. WEB SITE: http://www.speedwayraceway.com

It seems like every time I've ever been on a go kart that's happened to me! There's always an 8 year old motoring by me with a big grin on his face. Looks like it's nothing but SlimFast until the 25th!

Hey, I can't help my metabolism. Tammy already knows that if I eat cheeseburgers everyday I look the same as when I eat salads and work out everyday. I've weighed 165 - 170 for as long as I can remember. Well, other than in high school when I was 185 and living in the weight room.
I'm really surprised that we haven't had more Phoenecians RSVP (not that an RSVP is required)for the karting. Are these guys all on vacation? |

You guys always do great stuff when I can't make it! But then again, someone has to take care of the beaches in Hawaii that week.

Sorry...weekdays are bad for me.
Lee, you forgot to mention that the yellowish-red sand in the blue pool makes it look green! ![]()

Cool! It looks like we'll have a good turnout. I'm going to have to go find a job so I can afford to visit this place a couple of times a week. Hmmm... I wonder if the kart place is hiring??? I bet the employee discount is a healthy one!
