Is my O2 sensor connected?

Well, I gotta get a smog check. The PO said the O2 sensor was disconnected...said the car ran a little richer which made it run better. He told me where the connection was but when I look I do not see any connectors not connected. From what I was told it seems to me the PO did not dis-connected the O2 sensor...am I correct? Is the connection in the center of the picture below the O2 sensor...thanks in advance

Yes, I believe that is it. I put in a cat by-pass last week and that's what my connection looked like. I think you need to reconnect it. Running rich long term can do harm. You need to have the car very hot when you go for emissions. Take it for a 30 min. hard drive and leave it running while you wait in line for the inspection.

would probably be easier to get to it from the bottom. Ofcourse I have my engine out of the car, but by the way it looks, that appears to be the best way to get to it.

Thanks for the feedback...after reading my post, maybe I could have stated the question with more clarity.

The PO did not disconnect the O2 sensor completely (at the cat or muffler...not sure where), but I guess between the actual sensor and a junction box (I guess). Hope this helps...probably just confuses things...I really gotta go get that Bently manual.
