68 Signal Light help

Hi - it seems like every year before inspection I struggle with getting all the lights working. And I'm having problems again this year (see photo).

- confirmed with a test light that there's power going to wire marked 1
- signal bulb holder (2 on picture) works on the other side's light assembly
- all the other bulbs in this light assembly work

I've tried cleaning all the connections and bending the bulb holder contacts to make a better connection, but it still won't work. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Did you check to make sure the bulbs are actually working? I've chased a similar issue and found it was simply the bulb.

Could be oxidation where the contacts are riveted together. Either the + or - side. This is becoming more common every day as these already old housings get older. Jumper wires and patience to identify, cleaning and a dab of solder to fix.
