1988 carrera electric seat wiring connections?

I have tried doing a search on this subject but have not really found an answer.
I have just recently bought a pair of 1988 carrera electric sports seats and want to put them in my SC and wire them up.
Could some kind person please tell me which of the wires on the seat connector blocks need to be wired to a positive feed and which wires should go to ground or possibly point me in the right direction as to an electric seat wiring diagram?

As you can tell electrics are definitely not my strong point when it comes to cars.

Thanks
Steve

Okay Brown is Ground, you should have two of them and two hot leads. splice the grounds together and the leads together. Then find the Power & Ground source and connect.

Make sure there is no exposed connectors, heat shrink them.

On my 3.2 it shares the AC & Window fuse

It would be dumb if you didn't ask and melt the wires

Hint: when I placed connectors, I placed a male spade on the hot lead and female on the ground as not to mix them up. Heat Shrink the crap out of it. I had a short due to the exposed part hitting the seat frame.

I believe the hot lead you are looking for a is constant 12 volt source. seats can be adjusted without the key in ignition.

run a 12g 20a fused line directly to the battery and call it a day. i did the same thing when i installed power 993 seats in my sc. there are plenty of good ground spots under the seats.

I also installed (2) Power 993 seats in my '84 Carrera - Simply ran a fused line straight from the battery (as Nineball) - thru a rubber grommet in front 'firewall" (which came out inside near the hood release on the drivers side, (had to remove some carpet moulding to see it . Then just ran it neatly around and under the carpeting and to the seat location, Fed the passenger Seat power from that same line. Then just grounded them to the metal seat platform the (which already was grounding a Power Amp or something ... The Seats bolted right in with no adapters needed and the height is perfect . Took some fiddling and a few minor f-bombs .. all said it took me about 4 (laid back ) hrs & 3 Brewski's including all the prep . BTW i tested the seats off the battery b4 running all the wiring to make sure all is working correctly b4 committing to the project . as usual i refered to fellow pelicans for advice. Saved me a lot of 'Pondering' time!
